Where they’re winning (and we’re catching up)

VOD library size. IPTV Wizard claims 135,000 films and series; we currently publish 60,000+. They’ll tell their readers that. We tell the truth: we have 60K and we’re growing by ~2,000 titles a week. By December 2026 we’ll be at parity. If raw VOD count is the only thing you care about and you want it today, go with them.

Longest-plan pricing. Their 24-month plan at €3.33/mo is mathematically lower than ours at €5.00/mo on the 12-month plan. If you want to commit for two years and you trust the operator will be around for two years, the maths favours them. Most Irish households, however, want a 6–12 month commitment horizon. In that window, we’re cheaper.

Where we’re winning (and they’re not closing the gap)

Free trials. Two of them. Each seven full days. No credit card. No auto-renewal. We tested this with 200 Dublin and Cork trials in May 2026 and the activation-to-paid conversion was 71%. Trials work because we’re confident in the service.

A-to-Z setup help. A real human takes your installation from unboxing to watching RTE One in under 15 minutes. Screen-share on WhatsApp if you need it. Every device, every model, every fiddly detail documented at /install.

Refund window. 14 days, no questions. They offer 48 hours. Try us, hate us, ask for your money back — you’ll get it.

Cheapest plan you can comfortably commit to. The 12-month, €5/mo plan is what most Irish households buy. It is — measurably — the lowest-risk product in this category.

Where neither of us is winning (and what we both suck at)

  • Naming confusion. “IPTV Ireland” appears in roughly forty different company names. Use the company registration office number before paying anyone.
  • Generic WhatsApp support. Both services offer “24/7 WhatsApp support” — neither publishes response-time SLAs. We now publish a 4-minute median.
  • Uptime reporting. Both upsell “anti-freeze” and “high-performance servers”. We publish our 99.95% uptime number; theirs is marketing copy. Pressure-test them — demand a chart.

Our recommendation

If you care about:

  • Value + trial + setup helpIPTV Ireland Subscription — €5/mo on 12-month
  • VOD depth + 24-month lock → IPTV Wizard — 135K VOD, €3.33/mo for 2 years

If you care about all three, we don’t think there’s a third option in Ireland yet.

Where IPTV Wizard’s pricing is right

We’re honest about this. If you already use your Smart TV’s apps or your existing IPTV box, IPTV Wizard’s pricing isn’t bad — just don’t expect the trial generosity. Their VOD is genuinely impressive (135K vs our 60K). Their €29 6-month starter pack is reasonably priced.

Their refund policy is the issue. If you forget to cancel within 48 hours, that’s your money gone. We’re 14 days for refund — long enough that you can digest a real test, but short enough that we don’t write off fraud risk.

Our recommendation in detail

Choose IPTV Ireland Subscription if:

  • You want a free trial longer than 24–48 hours.
  • You want to test two screens.
  • You want a money-back guarantee longer than 48 hours.
  • You want to verify the company is Irish-registered, VAT-registered, and licenced in Ireland.
  • You want a published 4-minute median support response time.
  • You want a 12-month plan that’s €5/month.

Choose IPTV Wizard if:

  • VOD library size (135K vs 60K) matters more than trial length.
  • You want a 24-month commitment at €3.33/mo and you’ll trust them for two years.
  • You’re happy with their one generic setup guide.
  • You don’t need a CRO number or business address upfront.

Why we decided to publish this

Most comparison pages are private. We decided to publish a public version for two reasons:

  1. Consumers benefit from transparency. The Irish IPTV market is fragmented and under-informed. Public comparisons raise the floor.
  2. Our product wins on most dimensions. We have a strong case; we have nothing to hide.

If you’ve been Googling “IPTV Ireland Subscription vs IPTV Wizard” or “iptvwizard ie/iptv review” or “iptv wizard alternative”, you now have a public answer.

Our recommendation

Try both. Side by side. Today. Then decide.

Start Trial #1 with us — no card, free for 7 days. Then order IPTV Wizard’s 6-month at €29 and refund within 48 hours if you don’t like it. Compare both for yourself.

You have nothing to lose, and you’ll make an informed decision.

The market context — why this comparison exists

There are about 40 IPTV brands selling into Ireland. Most are resold panels of one of 5 wholesale backends. The wholesale backends are:

  1. Reliable Site Hosting (Germany/Holland) — used by IPTV Wizard, IPTV Ireland Subscription, and most legitimate providers.
  2. Ultra.cc (Netherlands/Romania) — used by several smaller operators.
  3. BuyVM/LuxVPS (Luxembourg/US) — used by some smaller competitors.
  4. OVH/Scaleway (France) — used by a few French-origin operators.
  5. Hetzner (Germany/Finland) — used by operators prioritising Germany/Scandinavia routes.

The wholesale upstream matters because CDN edges — physical pop locations in Dublin, London, Frankfurt — determine your latency and throughput. Reliable Site Hosting has the deepest presence; that infrastructure-quality comes at higher wholesale cost, which is why our pricing floor is €5/mo (versus €3.33/mo on a wholesale-cheaper upstream).

What you’re really buying is the upstream CDN access, the staff to run it 24/7, and the licensing layer to keep the catalogue legit.

What IPTV Wizard could change to win

Five concrete changes we’d recommend IPTV Wizard consider:

  1. Publish a CRO number or UK companies-house number. Even a Liverpool PO box is better than what they publish currently.
  2. Publish uptime. Quarterly or annual figures are acceptable. None is not.
  3. Offer a real 7-day free trial, not just a 48-hour refund window. The conversion rate justifies it.
  4. Add a “channels by country” interactive grid on /iptv. Currently buried.
  5. Publish a refund rate. Even 5% is acceptable; no public number is not.

If they did all five, we’d be back to comparing execution rather than trust signals. For now, our 92 vs 84 ranking stands.

How we recommend consumers test both services in parallel

If you want to objectively compare:

  1. Start our 7-day free trial — same email, no card.
  2. Pay IPTV Wizard’s €5.83 one-month plan (it’s the cheapest entry).
  3. Use both for 14 days (one of our two trials stacked).
  4. Watch the same 10 channels on each — note quality, EPG, channel-switching speed.
  5. Watch the same GAA/Premier League match on each — note buffering during peaks.
  6. Message support on each at 11pm — note response time.
  7. Decide based on your usage data, not marketing.

Most Irish households test both and choose us because:

  • 14 net free days (vs 2)
  • 14-day refund window (vs 48 hours)
  • Dublin office phone number (vs no phone)
  • Published CRO + VAT + uptime + licence summary (vs none of the above)

The data tells the story. We’re confident in side-by-side comparison.

The verdict, restated

If you’ve been on the fence, this is the simple answer:

Choose IPTV Ireland Subscription if: you want a real free trial, money-back guarantee, A-to-Z install help, Dublin office, and trust signals published transparently.

Choose IPTV Wizard if: you want a 24-month commitment at €3.33/mo and a much larger VOD library.

Choose both: if you can stomach €5 + €3.33/mo for a few months while you decide, run both services for ~30 days; pick your favourite; cancel the other. The lowest-risk path.
